WHO’S BEHIND THE WATCH TALK?
Avery Carter
Hey, I’m Avery Carter — a watch nerd since childhood and proud grad of Gem City College’s School of Horology (yes, that’s a real thing!). I’ve written about watches and all things luxury for WatchTime, Robb Report, Maxim, and even Bloomberg BusinessWeek. These days, I’m a full-time blogger at Your Watch Info and a part-time snooker enthusiast who occasionally tells time by the sun, just for fun.
Christopher Hale
With over 20 years in the luxury watch space, Christopher has a deep-rooted passion for mechanical precision and timeless design. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manchester, a background that gives him a unique appreciation for the craftsmanship behind horology. His reviews and commentary have appeared in Hodinkee, Gear Patrol, and WatchTime. When he’s not writing, he’s restoring vintage Seikos or browsing estate auctions for hidden gems.
Sofia Leclerc
Born in Geneva and raised around the ticking heart of Swiss watchmaking, Sofia brings both legacy and insight to every article she writes. She holds a Master’s in Luxury Brand Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris and has worked with independent watchmakers across Europe. Her writing has featured in Worn & Wound, Monochrome Watches, and Haute Time. Sofia has a soft spot for microbrands, minimalist dials, and moonphase complications.
Amir Qureshi
A certified watch technician and GIA-trained gemologist, Amir has been writing about timepieces and complications for over a decade. His technical walkthroughs and deep-dive reviews have been published in ABlogtoWatch, Fratello Watches, and The Time Bum. Amir studied Horology at the Lititz Watch Technicum and specializes in chronograph restorations. When not at his bench or behind the keyboard, he's often hiking with his field watch strapped tight.
Leo Tanaka
Leo is a horology historian with a background in Industrial Design from Tokyo University of the Arts. His articles often explore the intersection of culture, design, and function in both heritage brands and contemporary innovations. He’s been published in Time+Tide Watches, GQ Japan, and Watchonista. Leo splits his time between Tokyo and Vancouver and is known for his love of Japanese domestic market (JDM) watches and solar-powered movements
